Rick Pitino is returning to Louisville for one night, but whether you’re in the city or out of town, you can hear what he has to say right here.
The Hall of Fame basketball coach, who just released his new book “Pitino: My Story,” will talk tonight at 7:30 p.m. inside the Omni Louisville Hotel about his coaching career and legacy during an exclusive event presented by the Courier Journal. College sports reporter Jeff Greer will conduct the interview.
Our initial round of tickets for the event, which included a copy of Pitino’s book and an opportunity to have the book signed by the coach, are sold out. But if you’d still like to be in the room at the Omni Louisville hotel for the interview, $15 tickets (without a copy of the book) are available here.
The event is Pitino’s first public appearance in the city since the quick end of his tenure last fall as the University of Louisville’s men’s basketball coach after the FBI investigation into college basketball ensnared the team. Since that point, he has relocated to Florida, declining to return.
